Racks for Garage & Outdoors
- Whether your outdoor storage is a garage or a shed, the trick to maximising accessible storage is to use every inch of the walls, overhead, even the door, to hang tools and equipment.
- Overhead garage storage racks can be safely used to hang heavy items
- Pegboard is extremely useful for hanging smaller items. Larger pegs and hooks will accommodate spades, forks, rakes, various hand tools - and even lawn-mowers and strimmers.
- Tacking an old leather belt along the edge of a shelf or a bench will provide easy access to screwdrivers, pliers etc.
- Wire racks (the type usually sold for use in bathrooms and kitchens) will be useful for storing various DIY tools as well as varnishes and thinners.
- If you have room, industrial racking will be useful for stacking compost, fertiliser, plant pots and seed trays
