Storage Racks

As possessions accumulate, and families increase, storage space is at a premium. Fortunately every home, no matter its size, can provide additional storage potential in unexpected places.

• Choose multi-purpose furniture with in-built drawers, shelves and cabinets
• Organise the space under stairs and in cupboards with pegs/racks/stacking containers/shelves. Fix individual sets of pegs, at suitable heights, for children's outdoor clothes,and provide individual baskets/hampers for shoes
• Consider removing the door from a walk-in cupboard or closet to create a home office
• Use your suitcases and travel bags to store holiday and out-of-season clothes

• Get everything you haven't used for more than a year out of your living space - store it in the loft, the garden shed or the garage, if you must. When you have exhausted all the options, there is always the charity shop - or the recycling dump.
